About

It is said that the world is in a state of bankruptcy, that the world owes the world more than the world can pay, and ought to go into chancery, and be sold.

IMG_0012_2This blog is written by an inquisitive observer of publicly unfolding political intrigue. My educational background is Linguistics with a minor detour into International Studies, although professionally I am engaged in apparel production.

I grew up in provincial Russia, was partially educated in American mid-West and spent almost 7 years in Shanghai after college graduation. Hence, my basket of perspectives is rather diverse as these three cultures blend together in my personality.

Utterly appalled by the hostility perpetuated by mass media, on this blog I seek to promote educated, thoughtful dialogue instead. Intelligent citizen diplomacy, if you will. Focusing on Russia, I address various heated debates she often ignites in the West with the ambition to lead the conversation away from provocatively spun rhetoric into an area dominated by common sense and factual evidence.

Additionally I translate Russian texts which I think could be of interest to someone looking to understand the country’s overall direction.
